The MARSPLAN BS II Project was presented by the project coordinator, Angel Gyorev, Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, Sofia, Bulgaria to the Workshop on Integrating an Ecosystem-based Approach into Maritime Spatial Planning, 27 January 2021, organized by Milieu Consulting SPRL with the following partners, ACTeon, Baltijas Vides Forums, Stichting Wageningen Research and Fresh-Thoughts Consulting GmbH. The event was also attended by: Mr. Bogdan Ghinea (MDPWD, Bucharest, RO), Mrs. Vesselina Troeva (NCRD, Sofia, BG), Mrs. Laura Alexandrov and Mrs. Laura Boicenco (NIMRD, Constanta, RO), Mrs. Margarita Stancheva (CCMR, Varna, Bulgaria) and Mrs. Tatiana Begun (GeoEcoMar, Constanta, RO).

Interdisciplinary Seminar "Blue Synergy"

The Interdisciplinary Seminar "Blue Synergy" under MARSPLAN – BS II Project (Cross-border Maritime Spatial Planning for Black Sea – Bulgaria and Romania), was held at the Exhibition Center Flora, Burgas on July 10th, 2020. The event was addressed exclusively to the Bulgarian side.

The 2nd Steering Committee meeting - MARSPLAN-BS II project

Despite the global pandemic caused by the coronavirus, the maritime spatial planning process continues. On Thursday, May 7th, 2020, the Second Steering Committee meeting was held within the MARSPLAN-BS II project. Due to the safety measures, the meeting was held in video-conference format and it was organized by the Ministry of Public Works, Development and Administration of Romania. The Agenda included many sessions, but the participants were able to consider and discuss all scheduled topics. One of the main topic of discussions was the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the project activities and the possibilities of their reorganization. All project partners as well as representatives from DG MARE and EASME took part at the Steering Committee meeting.
