The Eforie Nord - Eforie Sud sector is located in the central part of the seaside area, consisting of two settlements with permanent spa functions. It has a length of about 10 km being bordered north of Agigea and south of Tuzla. In close proximity to these localities is Lake Techirghiol known for the healing properties of its mud, the lake that provides the link between recreational and spa tourism, having a diverse infrastructure of recreational facilities, sports grounds, swimming pools with nautical accessories, etc.

Burgas is the second largest city on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast and the fourth largest national city, being one of the most important tourist, cultural, industrial and transport centers in Bulgaria. Due to its importance at the territorial level, it presents a high level of development of infrastructure and economic services, being at the same time one of the most important ports of the Black Sea.

The fish population represents a common natural resource for all countries bordering the Black Sea. At the same time, among the natural richness of Romania and Bulgaria, aquaculture and fishery resources have occupied and still occupy another an important place among areas of national interest. In this context, one of the most important constituent parts of the fisheries patrimony is represented by the area occupied by the exclusive economic zone of the Black Sea.

The village of Sfântu Gheorghe, the extreme point of Romania, represents one of the most important localities of the Danube Delta, being considered as defining for the complexity, diversity and specificity of this area.
